   We generally use will when we decide to do something at the time of speaking   En general usamos will cuando decidimos hacer algo en el momento en de hablar
       
Examples     Ejemplos

Did you phone her? "No, I forgot...I'll do it right now" -¿La llamaste? -No, me olvidé...Lo haré ahora mismo

Please it is cold in here."Ok I'll shut the window"
-Por favor hace frío aquí. -Bien, cerraré la ventana

 
Oh, it is very late. I think I'll get a taxi now Ay,  es muy tarde. Creo que pediré un taxi ahora

etc.

   Negative sentences: the negative of will is will not or  won't Oraciones negativas: el negativo de will es will not o won't (forma contraída)

 

'Mr Green  is at a meeting...' 'In that case I won't wait.' El señor Green está en una reunión...-En tal caso no esperaré

When we offer to do something

Cuando ofrecemos hacer algo.

 

'I need some money' . 'Ok, I'll lend you a couple of dollars.'

 -Necesito algo de dinero . -Bien, te prestaré un par de dólares.
'It's a heavy bag...' 'Right...I'll help you with it.' -Es una valija muy pesada. - Cierto...Te ayudaré con ella.
'Help..The oven is on fire.' 'Don't worry, I'll bring a bucket of water.' -Ayuda...El horno se quema. -No te preocupes, traeré un balde con agua.

 

When we promise to do something.

Cuando prometemos hacer algo.

 
Thanks for your money...I'll bring it back on Tuesday. Gracias por el dinero. Te lo devolveré el martes
I promise I won't tell him what happened. Prometo que no le contaré lo que sucedió
I phone you as soon as I get there....It's a promise. Te llamaré tan pronto como llegue allí....Es una promesa.

 

 

When we ask someone to do something.

Cuando pedimos a alguien que haga algo.

 

Will you please take the dog for a walk?  Of course dear! -¿Sacarías el perro a pasear? -¡Por supuesto querida!
Will you shut the door, please?  Certanty young lady. -¿Cerrarías la puerta por favor? -Seguro jovencita.
Will you make silence, please? I am trying to study for the exam! ¿Harías silencio por favor? -¡Estoy tratando de estudiar para el examen!

 

 

When we dedide to do something we use I think I'll or I don't think I'll...

Cuando decidimos hacer algo utilizamos pienso que ...o pienso que no...

 

I think I'll go out tonight...I want to meet new people Pienso que saldré esta noche...Quiero conocer gente nueva
I think I won't play tennis this morning. I don't feel like it Creo que no jugaré al tenis esta mañana. No siento ganas de ello
I think I'll stay at home this afternoon. I am too tired Creo que me quedaré en casa esta tarde. Estoy muy cansado
